Award: "Thought Leader Award" for Change International in Mumbai

Change International Ltd. has been awarded with the "Thought Leader Award". The award was given to our colleague Thorsten Ertel, Director of International Leadership Development, at the "Guts to Change" conference in Mumbai, India, which was held from 29th to 30th June 2012. The prize "Thought Leader Award" is awarded by the World HRD Congress and the Asian Confederation of Businesses.

We received the prize for our innovative change concepts and our excellent work in change management.

 As the jury stated:

"This is in recognition of your remarkable progress in initiating changes in its process-remarkable enough for others in the same industry to follow your example."

Interesting HR topics at the SHRM conference in Atlanta, USA

We attended the conference for the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), from 24 -27th June 2012 in Atlanta, United States. The SHRM has more than 250,000 members in over 140 countries around the world and is the largest union, which deals with the human resource management.

This year's conference was attended by over 13,000 international participants who were eager to learn about the latest trends and concepts of the wide bandwidth of HR topics. Interesting input has been given in the areas of talent management, leadership development and strategic direction.

 The following trends were discussed:

 • Strategic alignment of HR management

• Globalization and HR

• Social Media and HR

• New thinking: people work (s) can work anywhere at any time

• Employee Engagement

ASTD 2012 Update

More than 9 000 training professionals and personal development/organizational development enthusiasts from over 76 countries have visited this years` ASTD in May in Denver. Change International has visited the ASTD to provide you with the latest HR knowledge.

One of the highlights of the ASTD had been the keynote speakers Jim Collins, author of the bestseller "Built to Last", "Good to Great" und "How the Mighty Fall" and John Kao, named "Mr. Creativity".

Besides the thematic input to leadership development, international HR trends, learning technologies, possibilities of evaluating personal development actions, contemporary themes around the web 2.0 were focused at the conference. Even Teambuilding measures are encouraged by the digital world.

International Employee Survey: 12 000 employees from 6 countries have been questioned

Your employees are one of the important factors for your development within your company. But how pleased are your employees?

To answer this question we developed a survey for an international automotive supplier regarding employer satisfaction (Employee Opinion Survey- EOS).

The EOS is executed regularly every two to three years. This years´ survey had a response by 12 000 employees from Germany, Poland, Czechia, Rumania, Morocco and South Africa.

After our analysis of the data, leaders and managers will receive the reports and will be guided e.g. via webinars to realize intern EOS-workshops on their on.

These workshops will lead to new ideas for improvement in quality and client orientation and they will help to identify structural improvement potentials and to deduce concrete actions.
